RAGDOLLS
"THE FLUFFY SHADOW"
Ragdolls are without a doubt are one of the most beautiful and elegant breeds of cats, and they own their name to the fact that when picked-up they go completly limp in your arms (just like a Ragdoll).
From the moment they are born, all white & fluffy looking like miniature teddy-bears, they manage to make everyone falling in love with them forever.
Their extreame tame nature, makes them the perfect family pet.
They love cats, dogs, people, children and they walk around the house following anybody anywhere like beautiful shadows (thats why the nick-name of Fluffy shadows).
They love everyone around them, eventhough they would usually pick one particular person in their circle to adore, and make them their favorite ever.
Another typical caracteristic of the Ragdolls is that they are all different individuals.
Some Ragdolls loves nothing better than to sit on your lap all day being cuddled while pooring like little tractors.
Others will sit next to you adoring you from a little distance and just a look in their direction can set off their very particular pooring.
But one thing they all have in common is their love for playing.
From a very young age Ragdolls will find a way to play with anything they can get their beautiful softy paws on.
And no better way to get close to your Ragdoll than to spend some quality time playing together.
15 Minutes a day will ensure that your Ragdoll stays happy while getting to know you.
Ragdolls do not handle solitude well, and get depressed if left alone for too long.
So much so that it is known of some Ragdoll stop eating and get very sick as a result.
Another typical trait of the Ragdoll is the incredible sound they make.
You might think to be on a beach listening to far away seagulls the very first time you ear a Ragdoll kitten.
Their extream sweet & playfull nature stays with them all their life, even when they fully mature at around the age of 4 years old and their coat reaches their final colouring.
One mith about Ragdolls that I would like to very much to dismiss is the wrong belief that Ragdolls do not feel pain.
Ragdoll DO feel pain like any other breed of cat, they just do not react as strongly as other cats when hurt, and only extreamly rearly would bite or use their nails.
If afraid or hurt they will play dead, a form of self-preservation.
A Ragdoll will make you feel welcome when you get home by greeting you at the door and by being a faithfully constant companion throu-out all their life.
